For foster carers and social workers caring for and supporting Jewish children

Antisemitism is one of the oldest forms of hatred, and it is still here today, in playgrounds, on streets and online. Jewish children in care deserve carers and professionals who understand it, can spot it and will stand up to it, while helping them feel proud of who they are.

This interactive e-learning course has 5 short modules:

• Module 1: What Is Antisemitism?
• Module 2: History and Its Echoes
• Module 3: Antisemitism Today
• Module 4: Jewish Children in Care
• Module 5: Responding and Reporting

It includes narration, practical scenarios and a final quiz of 12 questions (80% pass mark). You can learn at your own pace on any device, and you'll receive a certificate when you complete the course.

What will i learn?

• Explain what antisemitism is, and how the main UK definitions describe it
• Tell the difference between criticising a government and targeting Jewish people
• Describe how old antisemitic myths still shape hatred today
• Recognise antisemitism in person, online and in conspiracy theories
• Support a Jewish child's identity, faith and culture, whatever their background
• Respond to incidents and report them to the police and CST
