Now Hiring: Part-Time In-Home Respite Provider Make a meaningful impact in the life of a child with disabilities.

Christian Servants Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Respite Provider to support children with disabilities and their families. This role offers temporary relief for caregivers while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the child in their own home.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Part-time (10–20 hours/week)
• After-school hours and weekends preferred
• Minimum of 6 hours/week required
• Location: In the child’s home (may include occasional community outings)

Key Responsibilities:

• Care & Companionship: Offer one-on-one care and emotional support in a safe, nurturing setting.
• Engagement & Play: Plan and lead developmentally appropriate, disability-informed activities.
• Safety Monitoring: Ensure constant supervision and proactively manage risks.
• Communication: Collaborate with the child’s caregivers and healthcare professionals for consistent care.
• Scheduling: Coordinate session times with families based on their needs and availability.
• Community Integration: Encourage participation in community-based activities when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with disabilities (3+ years preferred)
• Understanding of disability-specific care techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a strong passion for supporting children with special needs
• Flexibility to adapt to different family routines and child needs
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in the child’s home
• Occasional physical support may be required (lifting, mobility assistance)
• May include community-based activities and outings
