The Overnight Front Office Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service during overnight hours while ensuring the accuracy of hotel financial records through nightly audit processes. This dual-role position combines guest-facing responsibilities with accounting and administrative tasks essential to the hotel's daily operations.
As the face of the hotel during overnight hours, you will serve as the main point of contact for guest inquiries, arrivals, and departures, while also maintaining a secure, calm, and professional environment throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities: - Welcome and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures in a warm, efficient, and professional manner.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolution of issues before morning shift handover.
- Manage overnight room assignments, special requests, and amenities for VIPs.
- Monitor guest activity, maintain lobby and front desk presence, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Support guest needs such as wake-up calls, transportation arrangements, luggage assistance, and late-night service coordination.
- Balance and reconcile all daily hotel transactions, including room revenue, F&B postings, and adjustments.
- Verify and post charges, payments, and corrections to guest and house accounts.
- Run nightly reports and prepare daily summary packages for hotel leadership.
- Review and audit cashier drops, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting policies.
- Identify and research any discrepancies, reporting issues to the Night Manager or Accounting team.
- Reset property management systems (Opera/Colleague Advantage) for the next day's operations.
- Maintain awareness of hotel security and safety procedures; report any unusual activity or guest concerns.
- Conduct overnight property walks as required and assist Security with guest welfare checks when necessary.
- Ensure all overnight entry points are secured according to hotel policy.
- Prepare detailed handover notes for the morning team, including any unresolved guest issues, group arrivals, or pending requests.

Qualifications • Previous hotel front office or night audit experience preferred; prior Hyatt experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, with experience in
Opera PMS and hotSOS.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and reconciliation principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills, with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, push or carry up to a moderate weight.
• Must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
