Cedar Rapids - Why you should live here! About this Opportunity Supports the measuring, monitoring, and reporting of HR actions; performs analysis and makes detailed recommendations. Processes full range of personnel and payroll actions; serves as department's HRIS liaison. Examples of Essential Duties
  • Processes full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete employee changes, hires, separation changes, promotions, transfers, step increases, salary changes, etc. in multiple systems
  • Processes, cleans, and validates integrity of data for analysis; analyzes large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions; presents results in a clear manner
  • Creates and prepares human resources metrics and dashboard reports for management
  • Maintains security for and issuance of all employee badges
  • Audits data entry and personnel action forms daily to review data accuracy and timeliness of approvals
  • Provides guidance on job changes and necessary adjustments to maintain accurate and timely employee records including compliance with applicable bargaining contracts or personnel policies
  • Processes monthly step increase reports and routes to timekeepers
  • Prepares and processes benefit file transfers, leave transfers, leave accruals, and longevity payments
  • Recognizes and implements process improvements and assists with new or upgraded system implementations
  • Performs related work as required

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and
  • 1 year of human resources experience and/or work experience in automating processes, data collection, analysis, and error resolution or
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience with electronic workflows, ad-hoc reporting and analytics
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and HRIS systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience learning and assisting with the implementation of new technical and/or software systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe Pro and creating fillable forms
  • Working knowledge of Power BI

Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
