Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher

3- and 4-Year Olds

Kaiser Elementary

Qualifications:

Valid current Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZS or ZN endorsement is preferred.
Willingness to seek full certification may also be considered. (Must have BA/BS)
Demonstrated organization, planning and classroom management skills.
Experience working with special needs children.
Specialized academic preparation
Work history exhibiting outstanding work habits including work attendance and positive communications.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children with Autism.
Training or willing to train in nonviolent crisis intervention (CPI).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular and reliable in-person attendance is an essential job function.
Design and implement lessons plan for early childhood development.
Develop, implement, and collect data regarding academic, social and behavior interventions.
Collaborate with larger team to problem solve (including guardians, county consultants and outside service providers)
Create and maintain accurate records.
Other duties as assigned by the Principal and the Director of Special Education .
