Job Description

A classroom teacher supports student learning, growth, and development through their assigned classes and duties and supports and strengthens the mission of Bishop Luers High School. The Theology teacher brings the Catholic Faith alive for students by teaching the curriculum based on the USCCB frameworks.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing a positive, joyful, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment.
• Contributing in a positive way to the school environment;
• Planning and implementing effective and engaging curriculum, instruction, assessment, and classroom management for assigned classes based upon the USCCB frameworks;
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned;
• Professional conduct and adherence to all school and Diocesan policies and procedure;
• Works cooperatively with colleagues;
• Work well in a 1:1/blended learning environment;
• Strong Catholic role model for students and be a resource for other curricular areas regarding Church teachings.

Requirements

• Complete the diocesan Theology teacher application and interview proces
• Registered, active Catholic
• Willing to obtain a Masters in Theology, if one is not currently held

Start Date: Contracted for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year
